A Full Truck of Pole-Mounted Vacuum Circuit Breakers Sets Off for Guizhou

1. Twenty-Two Units, One Truck, Straight to Guizhou

Twenty-two pole-mounted vacuum circuit breakers are loaded and ready to roll. Two tiers of timber-cased units, secured on the flatbed, checked as one load and dispatched to Guizhou on a dedicated vehicle.

For the client this is a milestone on a project schedule. For us it is a delivery deadline that started counting the day the order was confirmed — production planning, factory testing, packing and loading all had to be finished before that truck left.

2. Pole-Mounted Vacuum Circuit Breakers: A Switching Point on the Overhead Line

On a distribution network, a pole-mounted vacuum circuit breaker does the job of sectioning and protection. Mounted on a pole or a steel frame, it switches load current, overload current and short-circuit current, allowing a long feeder to be divided into sections — so a fault on one section does not take the whole line down with it.

The technology at the centre of it is the vacuum interrupter: the arc created when current is interrupted is extinguished in a vacuum, with no oil and no additional arc-quenching medium, which means low maintenance and a long electrical life. The enclosure, meanwhile, lives outdoors — sun, rain, temperature swings, dust and lightning are its everyday conditions. That is why reliability in this class of equipment usually comes down to sealing, insulation and the operating mechanism rather than the drawing.

3. Why a Full Truck Matters

Twenty-two units is not a small order. It means the client is working on a network upgrade or a new build at scale rather than replacing a unit here and there — and it means the supplier’s production, testing and packing have to keep up, because one oversight can slow down the commissioning of the whole batch.

The real risk in batch delivery is not capacity. It is inconsistency. If phase markings, mechanism adjustment or accessory configuration differ from unit to unit, that difference becomes the installation crew’s problem on site. So "one batch, one standard" is a hard rule for us, not a slogan.

4. Loading Is More Careful Than It Looks

In the photographs it takes a few minutes to take in: timber cases in two tiers, set out square on the flatbed. Getting that load to Guizhou intact depends on everything that happened before.

• Individual timber cases: every unit travels in its own case, so nothing presses on anything else in transit.

• Counted one by one: quantities are checked before packing, and the accessories and documents inside each case are checked against the packing list.

• Braced as a whole: the load is secured so that no case can shift on the road.

• Identified throughout: branding and product names go on both the vehicle and the cases, so the receiving end knows what it has at a glance.

5. Why Guizhou Asks More of the Equipment

Guizhou sits on the eastern slope of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The terrain is mountainous, roads bend, and many lines run across slopes and large changes in elevation. Air humidity in the mountain districts is high, and the province as a whole is classified as a lightning-prone region, which keeps lightning protection a live issue in local distribution projects.

For pole-mounted vacuum circuit breakers those conditions translate into specific demands: insulation components that hold their level in high humidity; seals that survive long-term damp and temperature change; operating mechanisms that stay reliable through vibration and thermal cycling. This equipment sits on a pole, and a fault means sending someone up that pole — so "installed once, touched rarely" matters more than a good-looking datasheet.

The road from the factory to Guizhou follows the same logic. Mountain roads shake a load, so the packing and bracing need margin. That is why we use timber cases rather than wrapping film — heavier, more expensive, and the reason the equipment arrives in the condition it left in.

6. About Zikai Electric

Zikai Electric (ZIKAI) manufactures, retrofits and services complete power equipment packages, covering substations, high-voltage switchgear, pole-mounted and outdoor vacuum circuit breakers, capacitor compensation devices and associated distribution equipment. Whether the order is one unit or several dozen, the method does not change: build to order, test each unit, pack for the journey, and get the equipment to site in the condition it was made.

This truck to Guizhou is one of them. There are others behind it.
